From Durban: take the Estcourt (south) off-ramp from the N3 highway. Proceed 7km to Estcourt and turn left into Richmond Road at the Richmond Road/Lane Street intersection. The route is signposted from there and the reserve is 7km away.

From JHB: leave the N3 highway at the Estcourt (north) off-ramp entering Estcourt on the Loskop Road which becomes Albert Street. Turn right into Subway Road, travel a short distance and then turn left into Harry Miller Road. Proceed around the circle and travel south along the Ntabamhlope Road for about 3km. Turn left at the Wagendrift Dam sign. The reserve is about 1.8km from the sign.
